Curry College Recognizes Students Involved in the Black Box Productions of "Sganarelle" and "The World-Famous Farce of Peter Quill"

Curry College is please to announce that New Haven resident Joseph Capozzo is the stage manager for Curry Theatre's productions of "Sganarelle" and "The World-Famous Farce of Peter Quill." Joe, son of Sarah Capozzo and the late Renato Capozzo, stole the show as Saint Jimmy in "American Idiot," and served as the stage manager for "Big Love" in the 2016-2017 academic year.

Curry Theatre is proud to present a pair of old-school comedies during its Fall 2017 Black Box productions of "Sganarelle" and The World-Famous Farce of Peter Quill."

"Sganarelle," directed by Betsy Goldman, is a one-act comedy written by Moliere that explores the consequences of jealousy in an absurd series of arguments and misunderstandings involving Sganarelle, his wife, and young lovers, Celie and Lelie.

"The World-Famous Farce of Peter Quill," directed by David Miller, is a situation comedy that is more than 500 years old yet reminds us of life today. Quill, an amateur lawyer and master scam artist, and his wife, Madge bamboozle Joss, the cloth merchant, out of his goods. However, Quill's luck does not last forever, as his clever tricks start to backfire.
