Mark Doneghey Inducted into Beta Beta Beta Honor Society at Curry College

Curry College is proud to announce that of Mark Doneghey of Abington, MA has been inducted into Beta Beta Beta (Tri-Beta), the National Biological Honor Society. Mark was inducted during a ceremony on the Curry College campus on Friday, March 21, 2014.

Founded in 1922, Tri-Beta is a society for students dedicated to improving the understanding and appreciation of biological study and extending the boundaries of human knowledge through scientific research. Members are encouraged to organize educational activities for the Honor Society itself, as well as direct educational and service activities toward the larger community. In order to qualify for Tri-Beta a student must be a biology major who has taken at least three semesters of biology courses at Curry with a minimum 3.0 GPA in those courses, as well as a minimum 3.0 GPA overall.

Founded in 1879, Curry College is a private, four-year, liberal arts institution located on 131 acres in Milton, MA. Curry extends its educational programs to a continuing education branch campus in Plymouth, MA. Curry offers 20 undergraduate majors, as well as graduate degrees in business, education, criminal justice and nursing, with a combined enrollment of approximately 4,150 students. The student body consists of approximately 2,000 traditional undergraduate students, 1,650 continuing education and 500 graduate students. Curry College students come from 31 states and 7 countries. Over 1,400 of its students reside on the Curry campus. The largest majors are business management, communication, nursing, criminal justice and education. The College offers a wide array of extra-curricular activities ranging from 14 NCAA division III athletic teams to an outstanding theatre program.
