Curry College, founded in 1879, is a private, co-educational, liberal arts-based institution located on 131 acres in Milton, Massachusetts. Curry is the only college in Massachusetts to guarantee students a job after graduation, via The Curry Commitment program. The College offers 90+ majors, minors, and concentrations in specialized and liberal arts programs, as well as graduate degrees in accounting, business, education, criminal justice, and nursing to a combined enrollment of over 2,000 students. Curry also offers a wide array of co-curricular activities ranging from 19 NCAA Division III athletic teams to over 40 student-run clubs and organizations.

Alexander Graham Bell Honor Society Spring 2022

Curry College welcomes the 2022 inductees into the Alexander Graham Bell Honor Society. The objective of the Alexander Graham Bell (AGB) Honor Society is to promote and recognize academic excellence at Curry College. The Society is named for the famous inventor, Alexander Graham Bell, who was an early chancellor at Curry College. It was founded in 1971 to recognize and promote academic excellence through a variety of activities at Curry. The Alexander Graham Bell Honor Society is one of Curry's most distinguished organizations. Membership in the Society is limited to those students who have achieved Dean's List every semester while enrolled at Curry College. In the spring semester of 2022, 147 traditional undergraduate students were welcomed into the Alexander Graham Bell Honor Society.

Psi Chi Honor Society Spring 2022

Curry College welcomes 2022 inductees into Psi Chi, the International Psychology Honor Society. Founded in 1929, Psi Chi is an international honor society whose purpose is to encourage, stimulate, and maintain excellence in scholarship of the individual members in all fields, particularly in psychology, and to advance the science of psychology. Curry inductees are part of a network of more than 700,000 lifetime Psi Chi members. Dr. Eric Weiser, Professor and Chair of the Psychology Department serves as the Curry College Psi Chi faculty advisor.

Alpha Phi Sigma Honor Society Spring 2022

Curry College welcomes the 2022 inductees into Alpha Phi Sigma, the National Criminal Justice Honor Society. Alpha Phi Sigma recognizes academic excellence of undergraduate and graduate students of Criminal Justice, as well as Juris Doctor students. The goals of Alpha Phi Sigma are to honor and promote academic excellence, community service, educational leadership, and unity. Alpha Phi Sigma is the only Criminal Justice Honor Society, is a certified member of the Association of College Honor Societies, and is affiliated with the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences.

Lambda Pi Eta Honor Society Spring 2022

Curry College welcomes 2022 inductees into Lambda Pi Eta, the Communication Honor Society. The Lambda Chi Chapter of Lambda Pi Eta is a highly selective international honors society for those undergraduate students who have declared an interest in the field of communication and who have achieved a high level of academic excellence. Inductees qualify for the honor by earning at least 60 credits (at least 15 credits in Communication), having an overall GPA of at least 3.25 (Communication GPA of at least 3.4) and demonstrating a commitment to the field of Communication. Students received a certificate and pin and will wear a red and white cord at the Curry College Commencement Ceremonies.

Sigma Theta Tau Spring 2022

Curry College's School of Nursing welcomes the 2022 inductees into Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing's Theta-at-Large Chapter. Members must be in the upper 35 percent of their class and have completed at least half of the nursing curriculum. Sigma Theta Tau's mission is to advance world health and to celebrate nursing excellence in scholarship, leadership, and service. The Theta-at-Large Chapter, which includes Curry College, Boston University, and Simmons College, has more than 900 active members and supports local nursing scholars through its ongoing research and academic awards program.

Curry College welcomes the 2022 inductees into the Education Honor Society, Pi Lambda Theta. PLT was founded in 1910. Its mission is to honor outstanding educators and inspire their leadership on critical education issues. The most selective society of its kind, PLT extends membership to students and professionals who satisfy academic eligibility requirements and have demonstrated characteristics of scholarship, leadership, and service. Education majors who have completed 60 credits and have earned a GPA of 3.5 or above are nominated for membership and invited to join Pi Lambda Theta. These students have exceeded the stringent criteria set by the honors society and demonstrate promise in the field of education.

Epsilon Pi Tau Honor Society

Curry College recently inducted 5 students to its Delta Chi Chapter of Epsilon Pi Tau Honor Society, the premier academic and professional honors group for technology programs. Epsilon Pi Tau is an international honor society dedicated to the technology fields and recognizes the academic excellence of students studying technology related fields at Curry, including the Computer Science major. Epsilon Pi Tau was founded at The Ohio State University in 1929 and has provided honor and recognition to members for over 90 years. Members of EPT reside in every state in the US, as well as 49 other nations. Epsilon Pi Tau is the premier academic and professional honors group for technology programs in higher education and has inducted 90,000 plus members since its inception. To qualify for acceptance students must have completed 30 semester hours at Curry College and 16 semester hours in their major (CS, IT or SD), GPA of 3.25 or higher, the top 35% of the qualifying students.

Alpha Kappa Delta Honor Society

Alpha Gamma, Curry College's chapter of Alpha Kappa Delta, was founded in 2018. Alpha Kappa Delta, the international honor society in Sociology, was founded in 1920 at the University of Southern California by Dr. Emory Bogardus. Alpha Kappa Delta derives its name from the first letters of the three Greek words that together signify the Society's goal: To study humankind for the purpose of service. The purpose of Alpha Kappa Delta is to promote human welfare through the association of a fellowship group interested in developing scientific knowledge that may be applied to the solution of social problems. In order to qualify for Alpha Kappa Delta at Curry College, a student must be a junior who has earned at least 60 credits with a minimum overall GPA of 3.3, with at least 12 earned credits in Sociology and a minimum of a 3.0 GPA in those courses.

Curry College Honors Class of 2021 in Historic Commencement Event

On Sunday, May 23, Curry College honored 687 graduates from the Class of 2021 in its 141st Commencement celebration. The ceremony was live-streamed from the Walter M. Katz field to approximately 2,300 family members, friends, alumni, faculty and staff, among other Curry community members.
